The Heart Behind Fancci

The Furniture Goddess · Founder

Fancci B.
The Hunt.

"It was never about the furniture. It was always about the find."

The Beginning
Portsmouth, Virginia

One Girl.
Six Brothers. No Blueprint.

She grew up in Portsmouth, Virginia — the only girl among six brothers. There was no shortage of love, noise, or lessons in standing your ground. She learned early how to hold her own.

At 14, her world shifted completely. She became a mother. Her daughter Eniya Talea did not slow her down — she became the reason to move faster, dream bigger, and never settle for less than what she deserved.

She graduated from Blue Ridge Job Corps. Not the traditional path. The real one. The kind you earn when life does not hand you anything and you build it anyway.

"I was not supposed to have a global sourcing house. I was not supposed to travel the world finding furniture. That is exactly why I do."

The Spark
Atlanta, Georgia

A Discount Denied.
An Empire Born.

She moved to Atlanta and got a job at a furniture store. She loved the work — the pieces, the spaces, the stories furniture could tell. When it came time to furnish her own home, she asked her employer for a staff discount.

He said no.

That single moment changed everything. Instead of accepting it, she decided to learn how to buy wholesale herself. What started as frustration became a full education — and eventually, a business model.

She was already doing interior design on the side. The original vision was simple: rent wedding decor and furnishings. But something deeper was pulling at her. She did not just want to style spaces. She wanted to find the pieces that made a space unforgettable.

The Journey
2018 — Present

Every Chapter
Was the Education.

2018
First Consignment Shop Opens She opened her first consignment shop and began building the foundation of what Fancci would become. The love for finding, curating, and placing pieces was undeniable.
Va Beach
Retail Store — Virginia Beach She moved back to Virginia and opened a retail furniture store in Virginia Beach. Eight years of clients, relationships, and learning the business from the inside out.
The Road
Closing the Store. Opening the World. She closed the store, went online, and traveled. She called herself a hippie. She was actually doing research — learning what the world held, what moved her, and what she was actually built for.
Istanbul
The Hunt Becomes Global She went to Istanbul and came back with 103 reasons to believe. Volume I — The Turkey Edit — was proof that the vision was real. The Furniture Goddess had arrived.
2026
Houston. House of Fancci. The World. She moved to Houston and began building Fancci into the global luxury sourcing house it was always meant to be. Milan is next. The world is the inventory.
The Truth
The Realization

It Was Never
The Design.

For years she thought it was interior design that had her heart. She styled spaces, curated rooms, helped people see what their homes could be. And she was good at it.

But somewhere on the road — somewhere between thrift stores and trade shows, between Portsmouth and Istanbul — she realized the truth.

It was never the design. It was the hunt.

The search for a piece no one else has found. The negotiation with an artisan in a market halfway across the world. The moment you see something and know — that belongs in someone's home. That is where she lives.

"Thrifting has my soul. Live music has my heart. Pizza is non-negotiable. And somewhere in the world right now, there is a piece of furniture that belongs in your home — and I am going to find it."
